Delete my data

If you connected XChat to your Facebook or Instagram account
Removing the app triggers deletion automatically — you do not need to email anyone:
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & privacy → Settings
- Select Apps and Websites
- Find XChat in the list and choose Remove
Facebook notifies us, and we immediately disconnect the accounts that were linked through your login and erase the access tokens we held for them. Facebook gives you a confirmation code and a link to check the status of that request.
Your business’s past conversations stay in its inbox — those are the merchant’s business records, and removing your personal authorisation does not delete their customer history. To have those removed too, use the request below.
If you messaged a business through XChat
The business you messaged controls that conversation, so the fastest route is to ask them directly.
You can also write to us at hello@selorax.io. Tell us which business you contacted and on which platform, and we will forward the request and help them action it. We will confirm once it is done.
If you are an XChat merchant
Email hello@selorax.io from the address on your account and ask us to close it. We delete the workspace and everything in it — contacts, conversations, messages, and connected-channel credentials.
What gets deleted
- Access tokens and credentials for the connected accounts
- Contact records, including names, profile pictures, and platform identifiers
- Message and comment content, including attachments
- Notes and tags attached to those contacts and conversations
We may retain records we are legally required to keep, such as billing history. These are not used for any other purpose.
How long it takes
Deletions triggered by removing the app on Facebook happen immediately. Requests sent by email are actioned within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
